  EVELYN M. BOWMAN
  
    Evelyn M. Bowman, 67, of Star Route, Frostburg, Maryland, died Feb.
  10, 1983 at her residence.
    Born in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Henry J. Miller
  and Alice (Hotchkiss) Miller.  She was an ordained minister for the
  Church of the Brethren and was pastor of the Georges Creek Church of
  the Brethren, Lonaconing, Maryland; a member of the governing board
  of Garrett County Community Action, and employed by the Garrett
  County Committee on Aging.
    She is survived by her husband, Clyde Bowman; one daughter, Mrs.
  Alice Wilhelm, Star Route, Grantsville, Maryland; one brother,
  Charles Miller, Somerset, four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lee and Mrs.
  Gladys Backes, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Henrietta Livengood, West Salisbury;
  Mrs. Edna Baldwin, Humboldt, Kans.; and three grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services
  were conducted with the Rev. J. Rodgers Fike and Rev. James Heckman
  officiating.  Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made
  to Georges Creek Church of the Brethren.
