  HAZEL I. BOWMAN
  
    Hazel Irene Bowman, 79, formerly of 36 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland,
  Md., died June 22, 1988 at the Morgan Manor Nursing Home, Morgantown,
  W.Va.
    She was born Oct. 1, 1908, in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late
  Perley W. and Minerva (Shockey) White.  Her husband, Charles C.
  bowman, preceded her in death.
    She was a member of the Living Stone Church of the Brethren.
    Survivors include two sons:  Robert L. Bowman, Brice Hollow Road,
  Cumberland, Md.; and James W. Bowman, Morgantown, W.Va.; two
  brothers:  Charles White and Ernest White, both of Meyersdale; one
  sister, Mary Fike, Meyersdale; four grandchildren, and four
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Virginia
  Avenue, Cumberland, Md.
    Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Living Stone Church
  of the Brethren by the Rev. Vernon D. Mitchell.
    Interment, Davis Memorial Cemetery.
