  BOWMAN
  
    Jayne Foy Bowman, 74, of Rector died Dec. 17, 2000 at her home. 
  She was born May 12, 1926 in Somerset, a daughter of the late Alfred
  C. and Mabel Speicher Foy.  She was preceded in death by a brother,
  William C. Foy and a sister Alice Mae Stanton.  Jayne is survived by
  her husband of 54 years, John W. Bowman, two sons, J. Rex Bowman,
  Hancock, Md., Rudolph "Rudy" Bowman, Glen Burnie, Md.  Six
  grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Ethel and
  her husband James Wolf and Evyleen Kuchinski all of Ligonier, Jimmie
  and her husband J. Paul Barefoot, Berlin, and a brother-in-law R.
  Dale Stanton, Hollsopple.  She was a member of the Laurel Hill Gospel
  Tabernacle Church, Jennerstown.  Prior to retirement she was employed
  as a cashier for Kennicott Coppers Co., Baltimore, Md.  Family will
  receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder Funeral Home
  Inc. and Crematory, Bell and E. Church Sts., Ligonier, where service
  will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home's chapel with the
  Rev. Chase (C.J.) Ickes and Rev. Gary Anderson co-officiating. 
  Interment will be in Ligonier-Valley Cemetery.  Elizabeth Snyder
  Bloom, funeral director.
