  BOWMAN
  
  Lawrence A. "Petie" Bowman, 95, Stoystown RD 3, died Sept. 15, 1987,
  at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born July 28, 1892, in Somerset
  Township, son of the late Josiah and Susan (Horner) Bowman.  Preceded
  in death by infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.  Survived by
  his wife of 68 years, the former Bessie Schrock; son, Robert E.,
  married to the former Jenetta Miller of Friedens RD 1; five
  grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Retired Somerset Township
  farmer.  Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren and Somerset
  Grange.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Roger L. Forry
  officiating.  Interment, Pike Cemetery, Brotherton.
