  Phyllis H. Bowman, 82, Hidden Valley, died March 17, 2006, at her
  residence. Born Jan. 3, 1924, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of Philip
  Esker and Julia Stimson (Corwin) Hyre. Preceded in death by parents; 
  husband, Julian Tucker Bowman Jr., who died Dec. 9, 1991; sisters, Dr.
  Martha Ross, Kathryn Hull and Grace Welden. Survived by children, Julian T.
  ÒPeteÓ Bowman III, Hidden Valley, Susan S. Bowman and husband Ralph T.
  Newberry, Sanford, N.C.; sister, Mrs. Frances Smith, Bridgeport, W.Va. She
  was a 1941 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, W.Va.,
  and was in the 1945 Class of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. She had 
  worked for Kettler Brothers for 25 years until her retirement in 1985. She
  also had been on the board of directors of the Hidden Valley Foundation as
  well as the Four Seasons Association. No services will be held.
