  BOWMAN
  
    Richard M. Bowman, 83, of Somerset, died June 26, 2000 at Siemon's
  Lakeview Manor Estates.  Born July 22, 1916, in Somerset, he is the
  son of the late Barry and Nellie Mae (Zufall) Bowman.  Also preceded
  in death by his first wife, Laura (Mostoller) Bowman.  Beloved
  husband of the former Eleanor Sweeney.  On July 2, they would have
  observed their 42nd wedding anniversary.  Also survived by son, Harry
  Edward Bowman of Jacksonville, Fla., grandson, Richard N. Bowman,
  great-grandsons Nathan and Austin Bowman and brother John M. Bowman
  of Somerset.  Also 20 nieces and nephews.  Member of First Christian
  Church.  A 50-year member of Somerset American Legion, Navy veteran
  of World War II.  Retired painting contractor and former owner of the
  Bakersville Glass Works.  A graveside memorial service will be held in
  the Somerset County Memorial Park at a later date.  Arrangements under
  the direction of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
