  BOWMAN
  
    Colonel Walter Bowman, 82, of Salisbury RD 1, died April 22, 1994,
  at Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born May 17, 1911, in Oakland,
  Md.; son of the late Milton and Cecilia (Garlitz) Bowman.  Preceded
  in death by his wife, Almetia Brown on July 7, 1964, and one
  granddaughter Dianna Harshberger.  Survived by two daughters:  Jeanne
  Harshberger, and Peggy Baer, both of Salisbury, one brother, Grant
  Bowman, West Salisbury, one sister, June Shoemaker, Salisbury, and
  two grandsons:  Paul Harshberger Jr., and John Harshberger and three
  great grandchildren.  A retired construction worker.  Graveside
  service 2 p.m. Monday at Salisbury Cemetery with Rev. Daniel
  Whitacre.  Contributions may be made to Salisbury Church of the
  Brethren.  Arrangements are under the direction of Newman Funeral
  Home, Salisbury.
