Born March 16, 1937, in Somerset, the son of Leo A. and Leah (Critchfield) Bowman. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by children, Craig S. Bowman, Kure Beach, N.C.; Mrs. Chris (Amy) Beahan, Wilmington, N.C.; grandson, Christopher Beahan; brother and sister, Charles Bowman and wife, Bernice and Mrs. Edwin (Louise) Hunt, all of Florida. A 1955 graduate of Somerset High School and a U.S. Army veteran, where he was a coronet player in the 113th Army Band at Fort Knox. He worked until his retirement as a machine operator for Sprang Industries in Sandy Lake. Bill loved music and was president of his high school class from eighth through 12th grades. No viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. The Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating.
