    William Daniel Bowman, 71, Somerset, died Sept. 28, 2008, at his residence.
  Born March 16, 1937, in Somerset, the son of Leo A. and Leah (Critchfield)
  Bowman. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by children, Craig S. Bowman,
  Kure Beach, N.C.; Mrs. Chris (Amy) Beahan, Wilmington, N.C.; grandson,
  Christopher Beahan; brother and sister, Charles Bowman and wife, Bernice and
  Mrs. Edwin (Louise) Hunt, all of Florida. A 1955 graduate of Somerset High
  School and a U.S. Army veteran, where he was a coronet player in the 113th Army
  Band at Fort Knox. He worked until his retirement as a machine operator for
  Sprang Industries in Sandy Lake. Bill loved music and was president of his high
  school class from eighth through 12th grades. No viewing or visitation. A
  memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset. The Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Contributions may be given
