Bowman, 69, of Reading died Feb. 7, 1995, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, where he had been a patient since Feb. 6. Born in Meyersdale, son of the late William H. and Anna E. (Leazier) Bowman. Employed for 36 years in maintenance department of Carpenters Technology Corp., retiring in 1987. Navy veteran of World War II. Served as Phm-3C in south Pacific. member of VFW Post 3504, Meyersdale; American Legion, Reading. Survived by two daughters - Linda A. Fabian, Reading, and Caroline C., wife of Carl Gangaway, Temple.; also two grandsons and two sisters, Bernice, wife of Joseph Logue, Meyersdale, and Caroline Bowman, Confluence; also 16 nieces and 14 nephews. Memorial services were held Feb. 9 in Laureldale. Private burial. Daily American, February 15, 1995 [B2208]
