  ELWOOD B. BOWSER
  
    Elwood Bruce Bowser, 86, Ursina, died Dec. 7, 1978 in the Somerset
  County Home for the Aged.  Born Jan. 14, 1892, in Addison Township he
  was the son of the late Daniel and Agnes (Sellers) Bowser.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Cramer Bowser,
  and his second wife, Florence Deal Bowser.
    He is survived by the following children:  Mrs. Marie Swayne,
  Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. Thelma Richter of Uniontown; George Daniel of
  Ursina; Mrs. Elaine Koontz of Confluence; and Mrs. Eloise Harned of
  Tacoma, Wash,; 11 grandchildren and 22 grandchildren.  He is also
  survived by two sisters:  Mrs. Romaine Eberhart of Addison and Mrs.
  Pearl White of Idaho, and one brother, Earl of Friendsville, Md.
    He was a member of the Uniontown VFW Post 47, the Ursina American
  Legion and the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
    Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence
  where funeral services were held with the Rev. McCurtis Allison
  officiating.  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery.
