Born Feb. 11, 1926 in Redbridge, Ontario, Canada. Son of Charles A. and Martha S. Bowser-House. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers Keith, Irvin and Glaird. Brother of Pearl Shaffer, and Dorothy Holsopple, both of Windber, Mabel Rice, Richland Township, Lillian Weaver, Woodland, Texas, and Laney Gaenzle, Bally. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. U.S. Army veteran during World War II in European Theatre and occupied Germany, where he received the Bronze Star. Also served as a US Army medical Corpsman in the Korean Conflict and received the Korean Service Medal with Silver Campaign Star. He served two tours in Vietnam as an Aeronautical mechanic in the U.S. Air Force in 1969. He also was a life-long avid sportsman. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Berkey Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Crissman will officiate. Military graveside rite by Windber VFW. Arrangements by Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber.
