Bowser, 76, of 219 Center St., Boswell, died July 23, 1975 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Sept. 18, 1898 in Bell Township, Clearfield County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Miller C. Bowser. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survived by widow, the former Cletus Rummel and these children: Robert and Jean wife of William Gray, both of Akron, Ohio; step-children, Bernice, wife of Michael Wojnarowski, Erie, and Lucille, wife of Robert Becony, Boswell; was a brother of Mrs. Maude Beatty, Mahaffey, and Mrs. Bessie Paul, Gypsey; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Boswell. Foreman for Pennsylvania Electric Co. in Boswell area for many years until his retirement in 1964. Active member in Boswell Lions Club for many years. Veteran of War War [sic] II and member of Boswell Post 461, American Legion. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Fred M. Bennett. Interment, Berkey Church Cemetery, near Windber. Boswell American Legion Post in charge of military rites.
