She was a healthy child until taken suddenly ill about 10 o'clock Monday morning, June 2nd. Her father was away at work, but Carl McClintock, hearing of the child's serious illness, called at the Bowser home and rushed the little sufferer to the Frantz Hospital in his car, but she died a few minutes after arrival there. She was a sweet and pleasant child and her sudden death was a sad bereavement for her parents and other relatives. There are left to mourn her departure, besides the bereaved parents, two brothers, two sisters, her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Getterman, of Strawn, and her great-grandfather, Jacob Bowser, of Selbysport. Funeral services were conducted at the Bowser home at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, by Rev. Russell, pastor of the M. E. Church, South, at Strawn, with interment in the Hetz Cemetery. The floral tributes were very beautiful. Four little girls acted as pallbearers and two little cousins as flower girls. Meyersdale Republican, June 12, 1930
