Born August 5, 1917, in Bittinger, Md., a son of the late Ernest and Ada (Schrock) Bowser. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wilbur and one sister, Thelma Green. Surviving are his wife, Alverta (Ringer) Bowser; one son, Ronald R. Bowser, Grantsville; two brothers, Alvin Bowser, Grantsville; Olen Bowser, Louisville, OH; and one sister, Olive Hetrick, Grantsville. Mr. Bowser was a retired dairy farmer and was a member of Garrett County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren and Woodman of the World, Lodge 41 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md.on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Maple Grove Church of the Brethren.
