Bowser, 75, of West Salisbury, died July 18, 1988, at Goodwill Meninite [sic] Home. Born March 22, 1913, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the late Milton and Alice (Sipple) Bodes. Preceded in death by husband, Clay M. Bowser, in December 1960; and the following brothers and sisters: Ray, Carl, Harry, and George, and Edna Keim, Anna Anderson, Grace Pyle and Mary Harris. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Jo-Ann Counihan, Salisbury; one grandson, Thomas M. Counihan, Bakersfield, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Katrina and Sean. Also one brother, Earl R. Bodes, Meyersdale RD 1. Member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with Rev. David E. Fetter and Father Bernard L.
