  VERNA H. BOWSER
  
    Verna H. Bowser, 91, formerly of 70 Linden Street, and a patient of
  Frostburg Village Nursing Home, MD, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1989, at
  Frostburg Community Hospital.
    Born Aug. 4, 1898, in Springs, she was a daughter of the late Eli
  and Caroline (Kinsinger) Handwerk.  She was preceded in death by her
  husband Alvin R. Bowser on March 23, 1956.
    Surviving are two sons, Ward Bowser, with whom she formerly
  resided; John Bowser, Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie
  Wright, Eckhart, MD; a brother, Victor Handwerk, Ostersburg [sic];
  three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home where services
  were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by Rev. George M. Harpold. 
  Interment, Salisbury, Cemetery.
