Bowser, 53, of 1536 Pig's Ear Road, Grantsville, Md., died Dec. 28, 1999, at his residence. Born Dec. 7, 1946, in Confluence, he was a son of the late Ralph and Virginia (McClintock) Bowser. Preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Junior Bowser. Mr. Bowser loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a log cutter for 35 years for Everett McClintock. He will be missed by many. Mr. Bowser is survived by his wife of 33 years, Helen F. (Hilliard) Bowser, whom he married March 25, 1966, in Cove, Md.; one daughter, Mary Catherine Bowser and her fiancee, Wayne Gank; three sons: Johnny Dewight Bowser and fiancee, Vicki Murdock; Richard Eugene Bowser and fiancee, Stacy Dolan; and Scott Alan Bowser and fiancee, Mary Hutzel, all of Grantsville; four brothers: Wilbur Bowser and wife, Judy, McDonald, Pa.; Richard Bowser and wife, Evelyn, Morgan, Pa.; Walter Bowser and wife, Ruby; and Max Bowser and wife, Betty, all of Grantsville; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Marie Murdock and Christopher Alan Murdock. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, Md., where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Oren Bender officiating.
