  BOYER
  
    Alverna (Hofecker) Boyer, 94, of Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin,
  formerly of Boswell, died May 9, 1994, at the manor.  born Dec. 31,
  1899, in Johnstown, daughter of Adam and Rebecca (Callahan)
  Hofecker.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clark J. Boyer,
  April 3, 1967; daughter, Lilly Mae Speigle, May 26, 1993; grandson,
  Darryl Douglas Speigle Sr., Sept. 26, 1990, and several brothers and
  one sister.  Survived by granddaughter-in-law. Elda Mae (Zanoni)
  Speigle, Hollsopple RD 1, and these great-grandchildren:  Kelly, wife
  of Frank McVicker of Boswell; Darryl Douglas Speigle Jr., married to
  Sally Flick of Laurel, Md., and Darcie Speigle of Hollsopple RD 1.  A
  great-great-granddaughter, Paige Nicole McVicker, and niece, Marian
  Eby, Jacksonville, Fla.  Member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran
  Church, Boswell, and former Silver Ray Rebekah Lodge, Boswell, for
  many years.  Also formerly active in numerous other local
  organizations.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and until
  the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Allegheny Street, Boswell, Rev. Susanne N. Palmquist officiating. 
  Interment, Lutheran Cemetery, Jennerstown.
