  Clair E. Boyer, 81, 240 Capital Ave., Johnstown, died May 16, 1981,
  in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born April 29, 1900, in Johnstown,
  son of Wesley and Emma (Hite) Boyer.  Preceded in death by his
  parents; first wife, Catherine L., brothers:  George and Lee; and
  sister, Elsie Berringer.  Survived by his second wife, the former
  Elsie McMillen; and these children:  Charles W. of Kansas City, Mo.;
  Herbert C. of Pittsburgh; Hazel M., wife of Oscar Horten, and Floyd
  Bean, married to the former Helen Maher, both of Philadelphia; Harry
  R., married to the former Ruth Davis of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Doris
  J., wife of Robert F. Burns of Johnstown; stepson, Roy Holder of
  Somerset; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven
  great-great-grandchildren.  Member of Roxbury Church of the
  Brethren.  Retired employee of the Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 49
  years of service.  Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9
  p.m. Monday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, Johnstown, where
  services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Owen Preston
  officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
