She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Smith of Meyersdale, and was born in Meyersdale, Nov. 19, 1885, being 45 years, 5 months and 26 days old at the time of her death. In her early girlhood she united with Amity Reformed Church, remaining a member of that charge until her marriage Nov. 30, 1913, to Harry R. Boyer of Berkley's Mills, when she removed her membership to Hay's Reformed Church of Zion's charge where she continued to worship until the call came for her to join the immortal hosts. Immediately after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Boyer went to housekeeping in Berkley's Mills where they continued to reside. Besides her husband, Harry R. Boyer, she is survived by her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Martha Eisentrout of Salisbury, and Mrs. Catharine Brown of Meyersdale, and four brothers; Nevin Smith of near Johnstown; Virgil, of Johnstown; Ralph, of Somerset, and Lloyd, residing in Meyersdale. Two sisters, Mary and Laura, preceded her to the grave. Funeral services were held at her home in Berkley's Mills on Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. Rev. F. D. Witmer, pastor of Hay's Church, conducted the services. Interment was made in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Undertaker W. C. Price had charge of the burial. Meyersdale Republican, May 29, 1930
