Boyer, 89, Meyersdale, died Nov. 26, 2006, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Sept. 30, 1917, in Meyersdale, daughter of the late Edward J. and Rebecca (Baker) Boyer. Preceded in death by brother, William J. Survived by sister, Blanche Opperman, Meyersdale. Ethel graduated from Meyersdale High School and Cumberland Memorial Hospital Nursing Program. She worked as a nurse in Cumberland, Washington, D.C., Akron, Ohio, Hazel McGilvery Hospital and Meyersdale Community Hospital. Ethel enjoyed her flowers and reading. She was a very caring person for family and friends. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where the funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Frank Harpster III officiating. Interment in the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
