Born April 11, 1926 in Tyrone, son of William and Alberta Fetter Boyer. Preceded in death by parents, sister Jessie and brother, John. Survived by widow, the former Jane Ellen Drummond; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Speelman of Somerset; and a son, William at home. He was a brother of George of Altoona; Florence Boyer of Central City RD 1; Melvin Snyder of Cresent City, Fla.; Richard and Betty Daugherty both of Somerset; Robert E. and William C. both of Kantner; and Mrs. Max (Mary Jo) Yingling of Duncansville RD 2. He was a retired crane operator for Glosser Brothers. A member of Kantner United Methodist Church and an army veteran of World War II. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and until noon Saturday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to the Kantner United Methodist Church to lie in state from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday when services will be conducted by the Rev. J.R. Peterson.
