  Joseph E. Boyer, 88, Hollsopple RD 2 (Thomasdale), died Dec. 4, 1980,
  at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born June 22, 1892, in Johnstown,
  son of Jeremiah and Lavina (Ream) Boyer.  Preceded in death by
  parents, three children: Nettie, John and Helen, one sister and five
  brothers.  Survived by widow, former Stella K. Eppley; one son Robert
  E., married to former Lillian R. Long, Hollsopple RD 2; three
  grandchildren: Robert, Gary, Indiana; Mrs. Bernice Sarver, Hollsopple
  RD 2; Mrs. Janice Burns, Monroeville; eight great-grandchildren. 
  Brother of Thomas E., Gary, Ind.  Member of Laurel Hill Gospel
  Tabernacle.  Retired miner and former employee of Sanitary Dairy. 
  Celebrated 66th wedding anniversary March 7, 1980.  Friends received
  from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral
  Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell.  Body will be removed to the Laurel
  Hill Gospel Tabernacle for viewing from 1 p.m. until the time of
  service at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment,
  Thomas Mennonite Cemetery.
