Bracken, 83, of Jerome, Pa., died Aug. 22, 1990, at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. Born Aug. 26, 1906, in Noblestown, Pa., daughter of the late Frank and Anna Zarblis Urban. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael J.; six infants; one sister and four brothers. Survived by three children: Verna, widow of Ralph Miller, Jerome; Mrs. Fred (Mary) Negast, Texas; and James (Louise) Tabert, Greensburg; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Klewicky, of Kenosha, Wis., and Verna Marone, Hollsopple. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome, and the Altar Society. She was a charter member of Jerome Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and belonged to the Ladies Garment Workers Union, Johnstown, and the Jerome American Legion Post 802 Auxiliary. Family will received friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 7:30, at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome, Father James Elliott officiating. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
