Brandler, 83, of West Salisbury, died Dec. 29, 1996, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Feb. 21, 1913, at Wellston, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Bishop) Lavender. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, William M. Couhig in 1954 and Joseph M. Brandler in 1994. She is survived by a sister-in-law, two nieces and one nephew. Member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Altar Society of the church, Meyersdale Senior citizens. Retired lab and X-ray technician at Meyersdale Community Hospital and volunteered at Meyersdale Medical Center. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bernard White officiating. Interment, parish cemetery.
