Born July 9, 1897 in West Branch, Iowa, a daughter of Heathman and Molly (Swank) Vincent. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Richard V. Smith; second husband, Loyal C. Brandon; a son; Vernon Carlisle; brother, R. Clyde; and a sister, Mrs. Blance McClary. Survived by these children: William D. Smith, of Bethesda, Md.; Richard V. Smith of Middletown, N.Y.; Mrs. Margorie Hosman of Springfield, Va.; Robert C. Smith of Warrenton, Va.; and Ronald D. Smith of Campbell Hall, N.Y.; also 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Evelyn Jay of Silver Springs, Md. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Middletown; and a former member of the Jerome Lutheran Church. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 7-9 Monday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street, Boswell, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. George A.
