Sherwood Drive, Kunkletown, died Jan. 22, 2002 in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. Born in Garrett, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Sarah L. (Finley) Brant. He was the husband of the late Anna L. Ebert. Survived by son, Clarence B. Jr. of Camp Hill; daughter, Sally A. Wenner of Kunkletown; brothers, Floyd of Garrett, Clark of Meyersdale; sisters Rose Lindeman of Meyersdale, and Thelma Brown of Glendora, Calif., and four grandchildren. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Gilbert. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of American Legion Post 314, Leighton, and its Korean Last Man's Club. He was a life member of Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1 Leighton, and a member of the Four-County Firemen's Association. He was a carpenter for the Philadelphia Local of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America for 50 years before retiring years ago. Military service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 4th and Iron streets, Leighton. visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
