  CLARENCE E. BRANT
  
    Clarence E. Brant, 70, a native of Somerset County, of 221 North
  Strattan Street, Gettysburg, died at Warner Hospital there on Sept.
  4.  He had been in declining health for some time.
    Married to the former Edna M. Kroushour, Mr. Brant was born on
  September 26, 1902, in Somerset County, a son of the late Harvey C.
  Brant and Mary E. Barkman Brant, of Gray, who survives.
    He was a woodworker by trade.
    Surviving are these brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Erma Brant, Berlin;
  Earl Brant, Johnstown; Mrs. Ollie Omen, Jackson, Mich.; Howard Brant,
  Somerset RD 1; Ray Brant, Berlin; Miss Mae Brant, Gray; Donald Brant,
  Gray; Richard Brant, Hubbard, Ohio.
    Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at Monahan
  Funeral Home in Gettysburg, the Rev. Douglas Y. Boden officiating. 
  Burial will be in Gettysburg.
