  BRANT
  
    Clarence E. Brant, 79, of Berlin died Sept. 30, 1994, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 26, 1914, in Brothersvalley Township.  Son of
  Albert and Elnora (Vogel) Brant.  Preceded in death by parents; son,
  Clarence Jr.; brothers, John Saylor and Ray Brant.  Survived by his
  wife of 57 years, the former Ferne Barron, and these children:  Mrs.
  Herbert (Sadie) Harmon, Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Emmett (Shirley) Barron,
  Friedens RD 2; and Carl of Altoona.  Grandchildren, Elizabeth Ludy,
  Craig and Chad Barron.  Great-grandchildren Chris, Travis and Brent
  Barron.  Brother of Leo Brant of Boswell RD 2.  Retired coal miner. 
  Member of Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren, Brotherton, and
  attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Berlin.  Viewing from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Monday
  at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  The Revs. Melvin A. Kirk and
  Timothy E. Resh officiating.  Interment, Pike Cemetery, Brotherton.
