Brant, 77, died Sept. 7, 1977 in Akron Hospital, of a massive heart attack. Mr. Brant, was born in Berlin, and for 56 years was a music instructor. He was a member of the Akron Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and for 25 years, was organist with St. Johns Lutheran Church of Christ, Akron. Surviving is a brother, Reland, of Lake Worth, Florida. Before moving to Akron, Ohio, he played the pipe organ in Amity United church of Christ, in Meyersdale, and was graduated from Meyersdale Area High School, Class of 1920. Friends were received at Adams Funeral Home, where Rev. Ronald Wolter conducted services. Interment in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio The Republic, October 6, 1977 [B2425]
