    Dale E. Brant, 75, Garrett, passed on April 20, 2008,  at Somerset Hospital. Born June
  6, 1932, in  Brothersvalley Township, son of Homer C. and  Verda L. (Long) Brant.
  Preceded in death by parents, and son, Mark E. Brant. Survived by his wife of 53 years,
  the former Frances Horning; daughters,  Debra Lynn, married to Roger Sarver, and Diane, 
  married to Jeff Landis, both of Garrett; Lori,  married to H. Craig Bush, Salem, Ore.;
  and Susan, married to George Walker, Berlin;  daughter-in-law, Renee Brant Raupach,
  Garrett; grandchildren, Ginger (Sarver),  married to Bryan Boyce, Amber (Brant), married
  to Adam Lavan, Autumn (Brant),  married to George Childers, Miles, Madalyn  and Mitchell
  Walker; and great-grandson, Kyle Boyce. A 1950 graduate of Berlin  Brothersvalley High
  School and served in  the U.S. Army, Military Police Company A,  stationed in
  Albuquerque, N.M. Member of Beachdale Church of the Brethren, where  he served as a
  trustee for many years. He worked on the family dairy farm, and in  1982 purchased Piney
  Run Golf Course.  Dale enjoyed farming, hunting, meeting  with friends at many
  restaurants and the  family's hunting camp, and riding 4- wheelers  as a member of the
  "Over the Hill Gang".  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Family
  will receive  friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday  at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Berlin. Viewing  from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beachdale Church
  of the  Brethren. Pastors Terry and Wanda Clark,  officiating. Interment, Beachdale
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Somerset Oncology Center, 
  314 South Kimberly Ave., Somerset, PA 15501, or Beachdale Church of the  Brethren Agape
  Fund, 803 Owl Hollow Road, Berlin, PA 15530.

       Dale E. Brant, 75, of Garrett, passed away on April 20, 2008 at  Somerset
  Hospital.     He was born June 6, 1932, in Brothersvalley Twp., a son of Homer C.  and
  Verda L. (Long) Brant.     He was preceded in death by parents, and son Mark E.
