Mrs. Brant was born in Larimer Township September 23, 1855, and lived 87 years, 9 months and 4 days. Her husband, Nelson D. Brant, passed away April 4, 1932. Surviving children are Mrs. Martha Snyder and Mrs. Susan Stump, Meyersdale; William P. Brant, Keystone Mines; Mrs. Harry M. Dauver, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Nicholas Quinn and Mrs. George Campbell, Pittsburgh. Four children preceded their mother in death. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Wilderman, Friedens, and Mrs. Matilda Bittner of Meyersdale. In addition to 38 great-grandchildren, she also left three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Brant home on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Dr. R. M. Dunkleberger, pastor of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiated. Interment in Union Cemetery under the direction of R. Reich & Son. Meyersdale Republican, July 1, 1943
