  BRANT
  
  Elsie M. Brant, 78, of Shanksville, died March 30, 1983, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 31, 1904, in Stonycreek Township, a
  daughter of the late Merle and Lillian (Glessner) Kimmel.  Survived
  by her husband, Harold J. Brant.  Her death ends a marriage union of
  54 years.  She was a former Stonycreek Township school teacher,
  having graduated from California State Normal School.  She was a
  member of Unity United Church of Christ, Shanksville-Stonycreek
  Silver and Gold Club, Fourth Society of Farm Women, Shanksville
  Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.  Family received friends Wednesday
  evening, and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 2 p.m.
  Friday, with the Revs. Walter B. Martin and Marlin A. Miller
  officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
