  ELSIE MAE BRANT
  
    Elsie Mae Brant, 78, Somerset RD 5, died Sept. 30, 1981, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born Nov. 3, 1902, in Brothersvalley Township, a daughter
  of the late John and Ida (Fisher) Marker.  She was preceded in death
  by her husband, Morris in 1977; a son, Elwood; two sons in infancy
  and one sister.
    She is survived by the following children:  Wilmer E. and Floyd H.
  Brant and Mrs. Jerry (Marjorie) Rice, all of Somerset; Mrs. Raymond
  (Gladys) Minerd, Rome, Ga.; Mrs. Elmer (Geneva) Beeman, Berlin RD 4;
  Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Maust, Brooksville, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 31
  great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of:  Wilmer Marker of Garrett;
  Mrs. Orpha Brant, Somerset; Mrs. Margaret Benford, Rockwood; Mrs.
  Bessie Sechler of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Jennie Poorbaugh of Garrett
  Rd.  She was a member of Somerset Church of God.
    Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home. 
  Funeral services were conducted at Somerset Church of God with the
  Rev. Dennis R. Buchanan officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery,
  Garrett.
