  FERN MAE BRANT
  
  Fern Mae Brant, 84, of Somerset died Oct. 7, 2001 at Siemon Lakeview
  Manor Estate, Somerset.  Born May 3, 1917 in Somerset.  Daughter of
  Marling M. and Nellie Edith (Landis) Shober.  Preceded in death by
  parents, husband Franklin Frederick Brant, who died March 12, 1981;
  daughter-in-law, Linda K. (Knepper) Brant who died May 28, 1999, and
  brother Harold L. Shober.  Survived by children: Roger F. Brant
  married to the former Nerita Darling of Somerset; Jerry J. Brant,
  married to the former Judy Green of Stoystown, and James M. Brant of
  Friedens.  Also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 
  Member of First United Methodist Church.  A 1936 graduate of Somerset
  High School.  Member of Somerset Grange, Trinity Chapter 138 OES,
  Wimodausis Rebekah Lodge and was a volunteer at the Somerset
  Hospital.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
  at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held
  at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Patricia M. Nelson officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
