  Fred H. Brant Jr., 77, Berlin RD 1, died April 12, 1985, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 4, 1908, in Brothersvalley Township,
  son of Fred H. and Pearl (Beachley) Brant Sr.  Preceded in death by
  parents; wife, former Mary Stull; and son, Larry Wayne.  Survived by
  these children: Frederick, Somerset; Maureen, Mrs. Carl (Barbara)
  Logue, and Richard, all of Berlin RD 1; and Dr. Sally, married to
  Scott Carmody, Espanola, N.M.; also six grandchildren.  Brother of:
  Miss Lucy, Berlin; Mrs. Clark (Pauline) Hoffman, Somerset; Rupple,
  Garrett RD 1; the Rev. Woodrow, Mountain Grove, Mo.; and Norwood and
  Lawrence, both of Berlin RD 4.  Retired farmer.  Member of Beachdale
  Church of the Brethren.  Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday
  and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Ralph E. Mills
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
