  FRED W. BRANT
  
    Fred W. Brant, 90, Main Street, Berlin, died March 29, 1977 at home.
    Born March 1, 1887 in Brothersvalley Twp., he was a son of the late
  Israel and Emma (Sivits) Brant.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bertha M. Harbaugh
  in 1973, a son, Javis, in 1974 and two infant sons.
    He is survived by these children: Fred H., Berlin RD 1; Rupple,
  Garrett RD 1; Norwood, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Clark (Pauline) Hoffman,
  Somerset RD 3; the Rev. Woodrow, Panora, Iowa; Lucy Jean, Berlin; and
  Lawrence, Berlin RD 4; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.  He
  was a brother of Mrs. Melvin (Anna) Bucy, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs.
  Charles (Fannie) Fornwalt, Cleveland, Ohio.
    He was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church.  Friends were
  received in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, where services
  were held with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.  Interment,
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
