Brant, 90, North Edgewood Avenue, Somerset, died July 20, 1989, in Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born March 29, 1899, in Stonycreek Township, son of the late Irvin and Melissa (Glessner) Brant. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Mae Shank, and one daughter, Ruth Elaine Wagner Nicklow, an infant sister, Grace, one grandchild, and these brothers and sisters: John, Willard, Charlie, Anna Pyle and Ruth Maguire. Survived by two children, E. Marie, married to Wilbur Wentz, Somerset; and Robert S., married to the former Helen Long, Somerset RD 5; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and one sister, Catherine Martz, Berlin. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren and CIC Sunday School class. Retired employee of Somerset Door and Column with 42 years of service. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral services Sunday at 2 p.m. in Somerset Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The body will lie in state in the church from 1 p.m. until hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Somerset Church of the Brethren.
