  BRANT
  
    Geraldine Marie Brant, 87, of Stoystown, formerly of Somerset and
  Johnstown, died March 27, 1997, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born
  Oct. 28, 1909, in Johnstown.  Daughter of Oscar and Edith (Miller)
  Poorbaugh.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Roy Brant, and
  brother, Herbert Poorbaugh.  Survived by these children: Ralph W.
  Smith, married to the former Becky Parker, Stoystown, and Susan
  Layton of Davidsville.  Five grandchildren and three
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Vivian and Kenneth Poorbaugh, both of
  Johnstown.  Member of St. John's U.C.C., Johnstown.  Family will
  receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jane
  Metzgar officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
