GRANT M. BRANT

  Grant M. Brant, 56, of Berlin R.D. 4, died at 1:20 o'clock Sunday morning in 
Community Hospital at Somerset.  He was a son of John A. and Susan (Mishler) 
Brant and was born on May 4, 1885.  His mother passed away in 1937.
  Surviving are his father, who resides in Somerset; his widow, Mrs. Nannie 
(Knupp) Brant, and these children: Paul Brant, Somerset; Mrs. Clyde Miller, 
Friedens; Ray Brant, Stoystown; Mrs. Glenn Rose, Confluence; Ira, John and Norma 
Brant, all at home, and Homer Brant, stationed with the Army in Hawaii. He was a 
brother of Calvin Brant, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Milton Baughman, Berlin; Mrs. George 
Gumbert, Berlin; Mrs. Alph Moore and Mrs. McKinley Will, both of Somerset.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hauger 
Funeral Home by Rev. J. F. Messenger, pastor of the Somerset Christian Church.  
Interment was in the Ridge Cemetery.
