Brant, 95, of Rockwood, passed on May 18, 2003 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Jan. 14, 1908 in Black Township, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Sheeler) Brant. Preceded in death by wife Edna in 1999, grandson David Brant, sisters Daisy Thompson, Sadie Shultz, Ida and Ada Brant and brothers Irvin, Walter, Norman, Fred and Carl Brant. Survived by children Leon, married to Ethel Brant of Rockwood, Nancy, married to John B. Malcolm Jr. of Camp Hill and Robert, married to Suzanne Brant of Garrett; grandchildren Tracey, married to Gary Noble Jr. of Garrett, Mark, married to Shannon Brant of Meyersdale and John B. Malcolm III of New York City; and great-grandchildren Cole, Courtney and Casey Brant and Jordan Noble. Brother of Frieda Riley of Detroit, Mich. A member of Trinity Reform Church in Rockwood. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Mark Bender officiating.
