ÒLove is patient, and kind, Love is not jealous, it does not brag and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love is not happy with evil but is happy with the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always remains strong.Ó I Corinthians 13:4-7. These verses speak for the life of Homer Brant. He was a man of love and integrity. During the last 18 years of his life, he endured much adversity through God's love and God's grace. He is now rejoicing with his Savior and his loved ones called home before. A service celebrating the life Homer Brant was held on Monday, with pastors, H. Don Rough and John Brownlee officiating. A private commit-tal service was held at the Rockwood 100F cemetery. George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, served the family. In appreci-ation of Pastor Rough's serv-ice to Homer's family over the years, in lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to H. Don Rough, and mailed to 822 Ferndale Ave., Johnstown, PA 15905. Jesus said, ÒDon't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house; I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you. After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you may be where am. You know the way to the place where I am going.Ó Thomas said to Jesus, ÒLord we don't know where you are going so how can we know the way? Jesus answered, ÒI am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.Ó John 14:1-6. Homer has arrived at the place prepared for him because he knew and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, who is the way, the truth and the life. He will be greatly missed by his family, especially by his daughter, who is looking forward until the day she is with him again in Heaven.
