Brant, 54, Rawlings, Md., formerly of Somerset, died March 29, 1977, in Keyser, West Virginia. He was born February 12, 1923 in Somerset, Pa., a son of Charles and Mable Hoover Brant. He is survived by his wife, the former Ilene Goe and these children: Ira L. Brant, Jr., Bellingham, Mass.; Mrs. Robert (Jean Ann) Trahan, Palmer, Mass.; four grandchildren. Survived by these brothers: Franklin, Somerset; Eugene, Somerset RD 2; Charles, Somerset. He was preceded in death by one brother, James. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, veteran of World War II. He was a construction superintendent for Local 66 Operative Engineers. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Cox officiating.
