Edgar (Ted) Brant of 8728 33rd St., Tampa, Florida passed away June 23, 1974 in University Community Hospital. He was a native of Garrett, Pa., the son of the late W.L. and Ida V. Brant. He is survived by his widow Mary Ahern Brant, one daughter Helen Louise Brant of Zephyrhills, Fla. and two sons William C. and Robert J. Payne of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters Mrs. G. C. Armstrong and Mrs. John A. Habel both of Garrett, Pa. and Mrs. C. Ward Miller, Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Brant was a member of First United Church, Tampa, a member of the Hebron Chapter of RAM, Meyersdale, Pa. and was Past master and treasurer for the past ten years of the J.F. Swartzel Lodge No. 251 F & AM. Funeral service was held June 26th in F. T. Blount Company Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph E. Summerall officiating. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Fla. with Masonic graveside service by J.F. Swartzel Lodge No. 251 F. & AM. Somerset American, July 9, 1974 [B2482]
