  MABEL BRANT
  
    Mabel K. Brant, 86, of Meyersdale, died April 4, 1998, in Center
  Community Hospital, State College.
    Born Dec. 28, 1911, in Larimer Township, she was a daughter of the
  late Simon and Effie (Bittner) Keefer.  She was also preceded in
  death by brothers Elwood, Henry, Bruce and Albert; and a sister,
  Hazel Romesburg.
    Mrs. Brant is survived by her husband, John A., whom she married
  May 28, 1941; a daughter, Janet, wife of Dale Raupach of State
  College; three grandchildren: Kathleen Raupach, wife of Jerry Learn;
  David D., and Annie M. Raupach; a great-grandchild, Zachary Raupach
  Learn; and a brother, Dalton Keefer of Connellsville.
    Mrs. Brant was a member of the Amity United Church of Christ.
    Friends were received April 6 at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  where services were held April 7, with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock
  officiating.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
    The family suggests contributions be made to the Amity United
  Church of Christ window fund or to the American Heart Association in
  her name.
