  Mae E. Brant, 69, of Gray, died Jan. 9, 1987, at Somerset Community
  Hospital.  She was born May 28, 1917, in Brothersvalley Township,
  daughter of Harvey C. and Mary E. (Barkman) Brant.  Preceded in death
  by parents; three brothers and two sisters.  Survived by brothers:
  Donald A., Sr., of Gray; Ray, Berlin; Howard, Somerset RD 2; and
  Richard, Hubbard, Ohio; sisters: Irma, Berlin RD 1; and Olive Orman,
  Jackson, Mich.  She was a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of
  Christ.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and
  7-9 Sunday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Joseph Beer
  officiating.  Interment, Fritz Church Cemetery.
