  Mrs. Mary E. (Barkman) Brant, 91, of Gray died Dec. 13, 1973, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  She was born Dec. 14, 1891, in Milford
  Township, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Stahl) Barkman. 
  Preceded in death by her husband, Harvey C., in 1956, and two sons,
  Clarence and Earl, 1973, and two infant sons.  Survived by these
  children: Mrs. Erma Brant, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Alice Oman, Jackson,
  Mich.; Howard, Somerset RD 2; Ray, Berlin; Miss Mae and Donald, both
  of Gray; Richard of Hubbard, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 41
  great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Frank
  Barkman, Johnstown; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Brochea, Somerset RD 1.  She
  was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Boswell. 
  Friends will be received in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin,
  after 7 p.m. today, Friday, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m.
  Sunday, Dec. 16, with the Rev. Jeffrey Kistler officiating. 
  Interment, Fritz Church Cemetery.
