Brant, 87, of Meyersdale RD 4, died April 7, 1997, at her home. Born Nov. 6, 1909, in Elk Lick Township. A daughter of the late William A. and Emma S. (Livengood) Folk. Also preceded in death by a sister, Sally Lesnett, and 4 brothers: Lester, Floyd, Abraham and Orie Folk. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy E. Brant Sr., and these children: Blanche M. Irwin, Meyersdale; Roy E. Brant Jr., Saegertown; William C. Brant, Kingwood, Texas; John Brant, Grove City, Ohio, and Larry J. Brant, Fallston, Md. Also 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A sister of Margaret Lynn, Springs. A member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, where she was a member of the church choir and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She served as a Republican committee woman from 1952-1989. She made numerous sacrifices during her life so that her sons could acquire a college education. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Randall Marburger officiating. Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
