  BRANT
  
  Mildred M. Brant, 66, Gray, died Jan. 17, 1989, at Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born Feb. 26, 1922, in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of
  the late Earnest and Pearl (Sechler) Weyant.  Preceded in death by
  daughter, Jo Ann Marker and one granddaughter, Shirlene Beranty. 
  Survived by husband, Donald A. Sr., and these children: Kathleen
  Straw, Boswell; Donald D., Gray; James E., Julian; Christopher L.,
  Acosta; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Judith Clement, Orlando, Fla.; Pauline Blubaugh, Berlin; Shelvy Jean
  Bentz, Ambridge; Elwood Weyant, Sharon; Junior, Greenville; Floyd,
  Meyersdale; Faith DeVoe, Berlin RD 3, and Roger, Berlin.  Member of
  Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ and former Sunday school
  teacher.  At one time was active in the Girl Scouts of Gray.  Retired
  from the Gray post office.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m.
  today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home.  Funeral service is Friday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Laurel United
  Church of Christ.  Rev. Joseph Beer officiating.  Interment, church
  cemetery.  Body will lie in state in the church, one hour before the
  service.
