  Morris E. Brant, 76, of Somerset RD 5, died June 17, 1977, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born June 5, 1901, in
  Brothersvalley Township, son of the late James H. and Elnora
  (Walters) Brant.  He was preceded in death by three sons, a brother
  and a sister.  He is survived by his wife, the former Elsie May
  Marker, and the following children: Wilmer, Somerset; Mrs. Geneva
  Beeman and Mrs. Marjorie Rice, both of Berlin RD 4; Mrs. Mary Maust
  and Floyd, Somerset RD 1; and Mrs. Gladys Minerd of Georgia; eighteen
  grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren, and one sister,
  Mrs. Alda Shupe, Berlin RD 4.  She [sic] was a member of the Somerset
  Church of God.  He was a retired coal miner.  Friends will be received
  after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.  Funeral
  services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Somerset Church
  of God, the Rev. Flavis L. Burroughs, officiating.  Interment,
  Garrett Cemetery.
